These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME]("Backup Notion", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are using Backup Notion on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
1. The service
Backup Notion creates automated backups of Notion workspaces: Markdown exports with media and an offline viewer, delivered on a schedule to storage you connect, such as Google Drive, Amazon S3, OneDrive, or an SFTP server. We process your workspace content in transit to produce backups and delete our working copy once your storage confirms delivery.
Backup Notion is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Notion Labs, Inc., Google, Amazon, or Microsoft.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use the service. Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.
3. Your content
Your Notion content and your backups belong to you. You grant us a limited license to access the teamspaces you share and to process their content solely to create and deliver your backups. We claim no other rights to it. You are responsible for having the rights to back up the content you connect, including content belonging to your team or organization.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to store or distribute unlawful content;
- probe, overload, or disrupt the service or attempt to access other customers' data;
- resell the service without our written agreement;
- use the service in violation of Notion's or your storage provider's own terms.
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed by Stripe, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and no further charges are made. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, taking effect at your next renewal.
Cancelling never affects backups already delivered: they are files in your own storage and remain there.
6. Service changes and availability
We aim to run backups reliably on the schedules you set, but the service depends on third-party APIs (Notion, Google, Microsoft, Amazon) that can change or fail outside our control. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you at least 30 days' notice; your existing backups remain in your storage either way.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. A backup service reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. Verify that your backups meet your needs.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability under these terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination we delete your stored credentials and account data as described in the privacy policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING_JURISDICTION], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
